Michelle Pournelle Appointed General Manager of Benchmark

STATHAM, Ga., April 14, 2022 – Benchmark, a leader in automated product distribution and packaging solutions, recently announced Michelle Pournelle has been named as the company’s new General Manager. Reporting to Greg Jacob, Senior Vice President – Material Handling of ProMach, she will lead the company’s business operations and provide strategic development for ProMach’s Benchmark, Kleenline, and Southern product brands.

Michelle earned her B.A. in Economics and Master of Accountancy from Auburn University and brings over 15 years of accounting and finance, forecasting, purchasing, and strategic planning experience, specifically in customized capital equipment manufacturing, and has led Benchmark’s operating and fiscal operations as Controller since 2020.

Since founding Benchmark in 2001, Mike Rupert and Vince Tamborello have successfully grown and nurtured Benchmark, developing a strong reputation in the North American Bakery and Food Packaging sector. While this is a time of important transformation for Benchmark, Mr. Rupert and Mr. Tamborello look forward to continuing as an integral part of the business, particularly within the Engineering and Sales operations.

Mike Rupert, Vince Tamborello, and Greg Jacob will work closely with Michelle to ensure a smooth and systematic transition. Trevor Derby, ProMach’s Finance Manager, will step in as interim Controller of Benchmark.
